Our identity, who our real self is, remains unfinished as we add more movements and variations to our music. We do recreate our lives again and again. The important message is not the changing identity themes or the repetitive patterns but the acceptance of ourselves, the acceptance of our choices, the recognition that they do not all have to produce successful results. |

This last point is very important. For many high-achievers, even when we succeed, we experience failure. Shame and the humongous conscience dominate because some small aspect of what we accomplished was not enough for us. We are indeed tough editors of our own life's work.
